My business cards have finally arrived from moo.com and i'm really pleased with the result. The came a week earlier than expected and were the best price i could find. For the moment i have tied the envelopes with different ribbons but i am waiting for some stickers from moo which will feature my prints and seal the back. I am currently making a lot of bias binding for my dresses and belts and did think about using this too as it will incorporate my print designs in a tactile way. The bottom picture shows a case i have for my iphone which is the perfect size for the cards. If i had more time i would make a simpler version for the little packs in my prints and then people could re-use the case for their phone/camera. While i have lots of fabric scraps this would be cheap but if i continued this idea in the long run i would have to get more fabric printed which would not be cost effective seeing as business cards are given out for free!
I love the effect of having lots of little cards and would like to think people would stick them up somewhere rather than have a little booklet which will just sit in a draw so for my press pack i might make a postcard sized version of my business card pack but featuring a wider range of my work and include more information about my brand.
