I found a tutorial online to make fabric flowers which i have turned into a necklace. This was just a simple experiment before i start my design ideas - i want the actual necklaces to be bigger statement pieces. A potential idea is to have interchangable pieces which can be worn with all the dresses. However, a couple designs have collars so the necklaces will have to have the option of being worn long and underneath the collars (ribbon ties, adjustable chains...). The last picture shows a sample i created with circles of fabric which achieves a similar look as before but is much much quicker. When my print samples arrive (hopefully tomorrow!) i will try out the techniques using my prints but as these will be very dominant on the dresses i may just do plain necklaces otherwise it could be too fussy!
