Arabella Ramsay

Arabella Ramsay - 'Channelling a feminine, vintage aesthetic with a charming, youthful edge...Arabellas obsession with colour and pattern is reflected in the unique print she designs for her collection each season'

Reading this on www.arabellaramsay.com has made me think about how i can take a couple signature prints for accessories (the dresses USP is the diverse reversible prints) and apply them to everything from phone cases to make up bags to cushions, bunting, seat covers etc. Each season a new print could be bought out to compliment the last so that for example a new cushion could be bought to sit alongside that from the previous collection. This is something to be thought about as i want to create fashion products first and don't want to get distracted by interiors and accessories which are not fashion related.

I love Arabellas collections as it captures the kind of folk/hippie aesthetic i love whilst still be wearable and fashionable. I particularly like the way she has used plain panels against the prints in the third dress which breaks it up a bit and adds a new edge to the collection. The colour of the panels compliments those in the print but at the same time is different giving more ways to wear the dress.
